Jay Gatz, also known as The Great Gatsby, born in Louisville, Louisiana, age 32 was murdered by being shot and killed September 22, 1922 in his pool at his mansion. Gatsby, a very successful man, lived in the West Egg of New York. During Gatsby’s time in Louisiana found love from a young woman named Daisy. In Gatsby’s life he joined the Navy and attended Oxford University. Jay Gatz changed his name to Gatsby in his early twenties. Around that time that time Gatsby began to accumulate wealth and moved to New York. He was known for having weekly, extravagant parties at his mansion. Gatsby enjoyed driving around the city in his car and he was always willing to help people. In Gatsby’s last few months, he reconnected with his lifelong love, Daisy. Though he was very social and popular, he did not have many close friends or people in his life. He will be missed by few but remembered by all. The funeral will be held on September 24, 1922 at 3 o’clock at Mr. Gatsby’s mansion.
